The McAfee Total Protection solutions are designed for Microsoft Windows® operating systems running on a PC or Server platform. Please note that the following are general system requirements and may vary depending on the nature of your environment.

  • Intel Pentium processor or compatible architecture; 64MB minimum RAM (128MB recommended; 256MB recommended for servers) Internet connection: Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 with SP2 or later.
  • Workstations: Windows 98/NT (4.0 with SP6a or later), 2000 Professional with SP2 or later, XP Home or Professional.
  • Servers: Windows NT (4.0 with SP6a or higher), NT 4.0 Server Enterprise Edition, 2000 with SP2 or later, 2000.
  • Advanced Server with SP2 or later, 2003 Standard Server, 2003 Enterprise Server, 2003 Web Edition.
  • Total Protection for Small Business—Advanced requires that you own a
    unique e-mail domain name and a mail server with a static IP address.
