D&E Active in United Way
D&E is involved with the United Way of America by supporting the local United Way organizations of Berks County, Capital Region, Centre County, Lancaster County, and Union County.
Sally Landis, Provisioning Manager, has served as D&E's United Way Corporate Coordinator since 2006 and conducted the Annual Coordinator Training Sessions in 2007 for company coordinators throughout the D&E region. She also organizes D&E's Day of Caring Event each year for employees and their family members to kick off their campaign.
"I am extremely proud and grateful to work for a company that provides these opportunities and prides itself in giving back to local communities," says Landis. "Volunteering for theUnited Way has been a life changing and extremely gratifying experience for me."
Also active in United Way leadership is Scott Burky, Vice President of Sales and Customer Service. Burky has been Co-Chair of the D&E Communications' Employee Campaign since 2004 and Chair of the Utilities and Communications Division of the United Way since 2005. His role will soon expand, as Lancaster County United Way has asked Burky to chair the 2010 campaign and he has graciously accepted.
