Pennsylvania Do Not Call List
The Attorney General is enforcing a law, which allows Pennsylvania residents to avoid unwanted telemarketing calls by registering on a “Do-Not-Call” list.
There is no fee for registering on the list and once enrolled, your name and telephone number will remain listed for five years or until that telephone number is no longer valid.
The law still allows telemarketers to call your home if:
- The call is in response to your previous request.
- The call refers to an existing debt, contract, payment or performance.
- You and the calling entity have an established business relationship.
- The call is made on behalf of a tax-exempt charitable or fraternal organization, a veterans’ organization, or a political candidate.

National Do Not Call Registry
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) enforce the “National” Do Not Call Registry. Registration is free. The federal rule mirrorsPennsylvania’s existing law in terms of who can and cannot call you. If you are enrolled on Pennsylvania’s Do Not Call List, you are protected from unwanted telemarketing calls and you do not need to re-register.
Persons or entities making telephone solicitation calls to others must be aware of and in compliance with the National Do Not Call Registry requirements as set for at 47 C.F.R. §64.1200 and 16 C.F.R. Part 310.

If D&E Communications is your current telecommunications provider, we meet the “established business relationship” exception to the Do Not Call list rules. If you do not want to receive calls from D&E Communications, you can ask us to place your telephone number on the D&E Communications Do Not Call list. D&E Communications Do Not Call Policy
No employee or agent of D&E Communications shall engage in telemarketing practices that violate the provisions of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991, the FTC Telephone Sales Rule, or applicable state regulations. In accordance with these requirements, D&E Communications provides a written copy of this Do Not Call Policy to all personnel or entities that make calls for telemarketing purposes on our behalf. In addition, we also provide training to all our business office personnel and any personnel engaged in any aspect of telemarketing on our behalf, to ensure that they are informed and knowledgeable in regard to the existence, use and maintenance of our “Do Not Call” list.
If you don't want to receive sales calls from D&E Communications, you can ask us to place your telephone number on the D&E Communications "Do Not Call" list. In compliance with federal and state laws, upon your request, we'll make a record in our files that you contacted us and immediately add your number to our “Do Not Call” list. Please allow up to 30 days for your telephone number to be removed from any sales programs that may be currently underway.
To add your telephone number to our “Do Not Call” list, you can make your request in writing to the address below or by calling 1-800-462-1015, ext 6389. You should include your name, address and telephone number in your request.

- If you have multiple telephone numbers, please tell us all numbers that you want included on the “Do Not Call” list.
- You'll remain on our "Do Not Call" list for five years, unless you ask to be removed.
- If your telephone number ever changes, you must give us your new information for your "Do Not Call" status to remain in effect.
Being on D&E Communications’ "Do Not Call" list means that you won't receive sales calls from anyone representing D&E Communications. We may still contact you, however, for non-solicitation and non-telemarketing purposes. This would include things like surveys, billing and other service-related matters.
