Call Forwarding
- Basic Call Forwarding- Transfers any incoming calls.
- Selective Call Forwarding *63 ($0.50/use) - Store up to six phone numbers of calls you don't wish to forward. Get Instructions.
- Forwarding Remote Activation - Use any touch-tone phone to activate/deactivate this feature or even enter or change the number. Get Instructions.
- Busy Call Forwarding - Transfers calls only when your line is busy. Get Instructions.
- No Answer Call Forwarding - Transfers calls after your phone rings three or four times with no answer. Get Instructions.
- Busy/No Answer Call Forwarding - Transfers calls when your line is busy or if there is no answer after three or four rings. Get Instructions.
Basic Call Forwarding Instructions PDF Download
To activate Call Forwarding:
- Pick up the handset, and listen for the dial tone.


Press *72. (On a rotary phone, dial 1172, and wait four seconds.)- Again, listen for the dial tone.
- Press or dial the number to which you want your incoming calls transferred. (You can use Speed Calling codes if you have this feature.)
- When someone answers at the number you’re forwarding to, your Call Forwarding feature will be activated. (If no one answers at the forwarding number or if the line is busy, hang up, and repeat steps 1 through 4 within two minutes. You will hear two “beeps,” confirming that Call Forwarding has been activated.)
- When Call Forwarding is activated, your phone will make one short ring each time a call is forwarded. You can still make outgoing calls from your phone.
To deactivate Call Forwarding:
- Pick up the handset, and listen for the dial tone.


Press *73. (On a rotary phone, dial 1173, and wait four seconds.)- Listen for two "beeps," confirming that Call Forwarding is no longer activated. Calls will now ring on your phone.
To change the number to which your calls are transferred:
- Deactivate Call Forwarding.
- Activate Call Forwarding with the new number.
Selective Call Forwarding *63
With Selective Call Forwarding, you don’t have to transfer all your incoming calls to an alternate phone number; you can choose the ones that are important enough to forward. This feature allows you to store the telephone numbers of up to six important callers. Calls from those numbers will be forwarded when the feature is active. All other calls will continue to ring at your phone.

To turn Selective Call Forwarding on or off:

Pick up the handset, and listen for the dial tone. 

Press *63. (On a rotary phone, dial 1163.)- Listen for an announcement telling you how many numbers (if any) are currently stored in your forwarding list.

Follow the voice instructions, and press or dial 3 to turn the feature on (if it’s currently off) or off (if it’s currently on). (To listen to the instructions again, press or dial 0.)
To enter the "forwarding to" number:
- The first time you activate the feature, you’ll be asked for the number to which you want to forward your calls.
- For subsequent activations, you’ll hear a voice prompt that will repeat the “forward to” number and ask you to confirm it or change it.
- If the current number is correct, press or dial 1.
- If you wish to change the “forward to” number, press or dial 0, and follow the voice instructions.
(To repeat the instructions, press or dial 0 again.)
To add a number to your list:
Press #. (On a rotary phone, dial 12.)- Follow the voice instructions you’ll hear. You can store up to six numbers in your forwarding list. (To listen to the instructions again, press or dial 0.)
To delete a number from your list:
Press *. (On a rotary phone, dial 11.)- After your list is read, voice instructions will follow. (To listen to the instructions again, press or dial 0.)
Using both Selective Call Forwarding and Call Forwarding:
- Selective Call Forwarding works with Call Forwarding, but Call Forwarding is not required in order to use Selective Call Forwarding.
- If you activate Call Forwarding without activating Selective Call Forwarding, all calls will be transferred to the Call Forwarding number you’ve chosen.
- If you activate Selective Call Forwarding and then activate Call Forwarding, calls from numbers on your Selective Call Forwarding list will ring at the Selective Call Forwarding number. Calls from all other numbers will ring at the Call Forwarding number.
- Note: If you have Selective Call Forwarding, Priority Ringing, and/or Call Block, you will create a list of telephone numbers for each feature. The lists are maintained separately and may contain the same or different numbers.
Selective Call Forwarding is already available on your phone line; just press *63 ($.50 per day).
Call Forwarding Remote Activation PDF Download
With this feature, you can use any touch-tone phone in the world to activate or deactivate Call Forwarding and to enter or change a "forward to" number. Choose from our other Call Forwarding options Basic.
Remote Activation Call Forwarding:
- Pick up the handset, and listen for the dial tone.
- Dial your access code
- Follow the voice instructions to enter your seven-digit phone number, followed by the personal identification number (PIN) that was assigned to you when you signed up for Remote Activation Call Forwarding . Then press #.


To activate Call Forwarding, press *72;
then press #.- Enter a "forward to" telephone number; then press #.
To confirm that the "forward to" number is correct, press 1.
To enter another number, press 2.
To cancel, hang up. 

When you’re ready to deactivate Call Forwarding, press *73;
then press #.
- Note: If you forget to deactivate Call Forwarding when you return to your phone, you’ll be reminded when your phone makes one short ring each time a caller tries to reach you.
Busy Line Call Forwarding
To activate Busy Line Call Forwarding:
- Pick up the handset, and listen for the dial tone.


Press *90- Again, listen for the dial tone.
Press or dial the number to which you want your calls forwarded.- When someone answers the "forwarding to" number, Busy Line Call Forwarding will be activated. (If no one answers at the forwarding number or if the line is busy, hang up, and repeat steps 1 through 4. You will hear confirmation "beeps" indicating that your Call Forwarding/Busy Line has been activated.)
To deactivate Busy Line Call Forwarding:
- Pick up the handset, and listen for the dial tone.


Press *91
Listen for the confirmation "beeps," indicating that Busy Line Call Forwarding is no longer activated and that calls will no longer be forwarded if your line is busy.
- Note: To have your calls forwarded under both circumstances, follow the activation steps for both No Answer Call Forwarding and Busy Line Call Forwarding.
No Answer Call Forwarding
These features let you choose the specific circumstances under which your incoming calls will be transferred to another number. With No Answer Call Forwarding, calls will be transferred only if your phone hasn’t been answered after three or four rings. With Busy Line Call Forwarding, calls will be transferred only if your line is busy. If you subscribe to both services, you can choose to have your incoming calls transferred under both circumstances.
To activate No Answer Call Forwarding:
- Pick up the handset, and listen for the dial tone.


Press *92- Again, listen for the dial tone.
Press or dial the number to which you want your calls forwarded.- When someone answers the "forward to" number, Call Forwarding/No Answer will be activated. (If no one answers at the forwarding number or if the line is busy, hang up, and repeat steps 1 through 4. You will hear confirmation “beeps” indicating that your Call Forwarding/No Answer has been activated.)
To deactivate No Answer Call Forwarding:
- Pick up the handset, and listen for the dial tone.


Press *93
Listen for the confirmation "beeps," indicating that No Answer Call Forwarding is no longer activated and that calls will no longer be forwarded after three or four rings.
