How do I Disable/Enable Java?

If you are using Netscape browser versions 4.5, and 4.8 look below, and if you are using Netscape 6.x and higher click here.
  1. Open Netscape
  2. Click on EDIT

  3. Click on PREFERANCES

  4. Click on ADVANCED
  5. On this screen you can set the option for you cookies and Java.

Java is a programming language designed to develop applications, especially ones for the Internet. It is suggested that you do NOT change your Java setting.

Cookies are small file that are stored on you computer from servers, or web sites, that you have visited. The cookie file store your preferences and display information about the web site. They can help the page load faster or save a display schema.

Netscape 6.x

  1. Open Netscape
  2. Click on EDIT

  3. Click on PREFERANCES

  4. In the Privacy & Security heading in the Cookies Section you have the ability to set your own Cookie Acceptance Policy.
  5. In the Advanced heading you also have the ability to enable or disable you Java settings.
