Setting up Dial-up with the CD for an Existing Customer

- This is the screen that appears when the D&E Jazzd CD is inserted.
Press Next to continue.
(If installing the download from the website, you may get a screen that says Setup, pressing setup will take you to this screen.)

On the Service Agreement screen please read the license agreement.
Press Accept on the "Software License Agreement" window to continue.

On the "Access Account" window select Activate Existing Account and click Next to continue.

Select the software that should be installed and click Next to continue.

Keep the default location and click Next to continue.

If a dial prefix is necessary, select it from the drop down list.
Note: Normally this field should be left blank. A dial prefix is only needed if you need to dial 9 to dial out of the building (for a business) or if you need to turn off call waiting. If you are not sure what to do here, please leave this field blank.
Click Next to start the software installation.

After the software is finished installing you will be prompted to reboot the computer.
Click on the Restart button.
Note: The CD may automatically eject from your CD-ROM drive at this point.

After the computer reboots the setup will automatically popup to continue.
Click Next to continue.

Verify the correct modem and the correct dial method are selected.
Click Next to continue.
(Normally, the modem listed is correct and tone dial should be selected.)

On the user information screen the Full Name can be whatever you choose. It does not have to be the billing name, it can be a nickname or anything else.
For the User Name type in the first part of your login name. Having .dejazzd.com or @dejazzd.com is not required here as the software will automatically configure this.
In the Password field type in the correct password.
(Remember the password is case sensitive)Click Next to continue.

The D&E Jazzd software will now try to connect to the Internet for the first time.
The processing signup will take a few moments.

When the software install completes properly, the Service Agreement page will appear.
Please read the license agreement and press Accept to continue.

Choose the local access number from the drop down list. This is done by choosing the closest town that you live near.
Click Next to continue.

Click Finish to complete the installation.

The D&E Jazzd software will automatically launch and try to dial up to the phone number selected in the previous step.

The "Connect To D&E Jazzd" icon will appear on the desktop for future use.
