Setting Up Thunderbird E-Mail

  1. This is the main window for Mozilla Thunderbird

  2. In the main Thunderbird window click on the Tools menu, and select Account Settings...

  3. In the Account Settings window click on the Add Account button. That will open the Account Wizard.

  4. In the Account Wizard select e-mail account, and click next.

  5. Enter in your name as you would like it to appear, and your dejazzd e-mail address, and click Next.

  6. Under Server information select POP server. The Incoming Server will be pop.dejazzd.com
    The Outgoing Server will be smtp.dejazzd.com

  7. In the next screen enter in your username for the incoming, and outgoing servers. Please remember to add the “.dejazzd.com” or “@dejazzd.com” extension.
    Note: New customers & converted users as of January 3, 2006 use @dejazzd.com, users in Lancaster, York, and Harrisburg areas use .dejazzd.com, and all other area users use @dejazzd.com

  8. On the next screen you can select the name of the mail account to identify it. This name can be anything, but commonly it is named by your e-mail address.

  9. You are now finished configuring Mozilla Thunderbird. Please review the information you entered, and click Finish.
