Configuring Mac Netscape 4.5-4.7x Mail for SMTP Authentication

1. Open Netscape Communicator
2. Click on the Edit menu
3. Click on Preferences
4. In the Preferences window click on Mail Servers under Mail & Newsgroups
5. The following settings will need to be changed in the Account Information Window.
   a) In the field labeled Outgoing mail (SMTP) server type in smtp.dejazzd.com
   b) In the field labeled Outgoing mail server user name type in your user name in the format username.dejazzd.com (for example, the email address jdoe@dejazzd.com would have the username jdoe.dejazzd.com)
   c) At the top of the window under Incoming Mail servers click on the server name and press the Edit button on the right.
   
6. The Mail Server Info box should appear.
   a) In the field labeled Server Name, type in pop.dejazzd.com
   b) Verify the Server Type is set as POP.
   c) Verify the User Name is in the format username.dejazzd.com
   d) To have Netscape remember the password for receiving mail and sending mail check the box for Remember password.
   e) Press OK in this window.
   
7. Press OK in the Preferences window to finish the changes.
