Configuring Macintosh Mail version 1.1 (OS 10.1) for SMTP Authentication

1. Open Mac Mail 1.1
2. Click on the Mail menu
3. Click on Preferences.
4. Make sure Accounts is selected under Description.
5. Click on the name of your account under Description.
6. Click on the Edit button.
   
7. The following settings will need to be changed in the Account Information Window.

   a) In the field labeled Host name type in pop.dejazzd.com
   b) In the field labeled SMTP Host type in smtp.dejazzd.com
   c) Check the box for Use authentication when sending mail.
   d) In the SMTP User field type in the same information from the above User Name field.
   e) In the SMTP Password type in the same password from the above Password field.
   

8. Press OK in the Account Information screen.
9. Close the Mail Preferences window by clicking on the red X to finish.
