Configuring Outlook 98 for SMTP Authentication

1. Open Outlook 98
2. Click on Tools
3. Click on Services
4. In the Services tab, Internet Email - Outlook 98 will be highlighted.
5. Click on Properties



6. This will bring up the mail account Properties box
7. Click on the Servers tab
8. Click on the box in front of "My server Requires Authentication." A check mark will be placed in the box
9. Click on the Settings button



10. The Outgoing Mail Server window will appear.
11. Chose the option to "Use same settings as my incoming mail server"
12. Click Ok



13. The Properties box will appear. Click Ok to save the changes.



14. The Internet Accounts box will appear. Click Close.
