Configuring Netscape 6 e-mail for your PC running Windows

1. Click on Tasks

   

2. Click on Mail & Newsgroups

   

3. Click on Edit
4. Click on Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings

   

5. Click on New Account

   

6. Enter your Profile name. We would suggest that you use your real name or your e-mail address.
7. Click on Next

   

8. Choose ISP or E-mail provider and click on Next

   

9. In the Your Name field enter in your name.
10. Your e-mail address will be entered in the E-mail address field.

    

11. Incoming Server Type is POP
12. Incoming Server Name is pop.dejazzd.com
13. The Outgoing mail server name is smtp.dejazzd.com

    

14. Your User Name will be entered in the User Name field.
    

    Example, if you e-mail address is jdoe@dejazzd.com your account name would be jdoe.dejazzd.com OR jdoe@dejazzd.com

    Note: New customers & converted users as of January 3, 2006 use @dejazzd.com, users in Lancaster, York, and Harrisburg areas use .dejazzd.com, and all other area users use @dejazzd.com

    

SMTP Upgrade

The email upgrade will allow us to reduce spam, enhance the features available on our Webmail service, allow users to send emails to some domains that are currently blocking Jazzd mail (i.e., WebTV, bigfoot.com, email.com, snip.com) and minimize spamming that decreases performance of the email service to everyone. It is an easy upgrade that you can do in less then 2 minutes. Just choose your mail program and version below and follow the steps.

• Netscape (Version 6.x and higher)
