Redirecting a Domain Name
1. How do I redirect one domain to another?
- For web hosting, you use meta redirect tags in the head of your document to forward all requests at this domain to another.
- For email, you need to setup the account you want to forward to, to forward to the desired account at the other domain name.
- In dejazzd.com there is an administration page at http://mail.dejazzd.com, go there
- Enter your account information
- Click on Select Delevery Method
- Enter the email address(es) you would like to forward the account you just logged on with too
- Click Submit
2. How do I setup an alias for a domain name?
You can register your domain name in over sixty different languages; but if you register your domain name in a language other than an ASCII western characters it may not work properly yet. Please consult http://global.networksolutions.com/en_US/name-it/ml-index.jhtml for any further questions.
3. What if the domain name I want is already taken?
- For web hosting you let the hosting provider know about all desired domain names that you would like to point to the same site
- The hosting provider then sets up the correct header reference on the web servers
