Local Calling Areas

• D&E uses 7-digit dialing for all calls to 717 area code numbers, both local and long distance.
• D&E uses 10-digit dialing for all calls to 215, 267, 484, and 610 area code numbers, both local and long distance.
• Make sure you know whether a number is local or long distance before you dial. You are responsible for all long distance charges.
• New exchange codes may be added to your local calling area after the creation of this page; however, never assume that any exchange code that is not listed here is toll-free. For example, a new Lancaster exchange code may not be toll-free from Lititz.
