Generally, wireless networking routers support a range of up to 150 feet indoors and 300 feet outdoors. The wireless signal will penetrate most walls so you can have devices almost anywhere in your home while staying connected to the network. A D&E technician will find the best location during installation for your router. If you have a large home, or a home with thick or dense walls, the wireless router should be placed as high as possible and towards the center of the house. If you want access outside, it is suggested that you place the wireless router near a window.

Wireless routers offer a variety of security features that help to protect your computers and put your concerns at ease. All wireless equipment installed by D&E Communications is equipped with several security features.
