What is Lifeline?
Lifeline helps low-income customers get and keep local telephone service in their homes. If you know someone who may qualify and does not have phone service now, please tell them about Lifeline Service.
Lifeline Service is a residential offering for qualified low-income customers.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for Lifeline Service, your income must be at or below 135% of the U.S. Census Bureau Poverty Level Guidelines; or you must be a current participant in federal public housing, National School Lunch free lunch program, or one of the following Department of Public Welfare programs:
- Temporary Assistance—Needy Families (TANF)
- General Assistance (GA)
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Food Stamps
- Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
- Medicaid
